Short Film About Depression & Anxiety | Shot With An iPhone
thankful, he said it like it is, life is a story we all get to cinematically enjoy-see you in the pictures, kid, you’ll be alright
AND HOT!
mushrms
😂 such a good human
⁉️What are you working on right now?
I'm struggling with my writing. I think I've hit burnout and I don't know what to do.
u actually have reason
He must hv been stoned when he wrote them...❤😅
I once refused to leave an outdoor concert in the soaking rain, my friends hating me for it. I couldn’t leave while Bob Dylan was still singing. He is absolute brilliance.
When you're young and hungry creative juices flow abundantly
grant morrison wrote himself into the script of the invisibles and suffered a similar fate to that character. i remember him saying something like "i'll never do that again". if life is a story, then their may be parallels between what we create and our life being created.
old fart
Just watched it again yesterday for about the 10th time. Love it.
Reminds me of my favorite character, Walder Frey.
John Travolta looks like he was drawn, look at that hair, those eyebrows, those eyes, what a mouth, what a chin! ♥️❗
rest easy
Wherever you are, David, I hope you are getting to go dreamy ❤
Yes... Light and freedom❤❤
"Negativity is the enemy of creativity" is a great quote i will remember. Im so sad he passed away. When i heard he had a debilitating lung disease, i knew his time was close. But still, i was shocked by the news. It's so sad to see a director with such a unique and interesting vision go away. i hope he and his family find peace.
his masterclass is now free on youtube
I do so much more art when I'm healthy enough to do it. 💀
How about Dracula? I wonder if he ate a baby while filming that one
obviously „always“ is not to be taken too literal on everything down to the last minor detail, but i dont think this is the right place for that joke
@ haha thank you :)
Agree
I remember hearing the title comes from hearing someone horribly mispronounce Au Revoir les Enfants as “Reservoir Dogs” at the video store he used work at, but I don’t know if that’s true or not
Go go go Van 🚐 😂
the way they both expatiate is extraordinary. they truly loved their crafts.
GOLD
I'm French and I never heard anything like "Reservoir Dogs" in any of our noir cinéma movies lol. Tarantino's film is brilliant and carry perfectly the idea that those gangsters/scums are somehow replaceable though.
i think he does not know what he's saying
THANK YOU.
Someone can tell me the song in the background?
It's a slowed down version of Fallen Down by Toby Fox
Thank youuu
Good friendship!!!
He was like an avant garde Chauncey Gardner.
I write poems this way. I have a small book and the poems that are my best in my estimation, write themselves. Once I came back from visiting my children in Hawaii and it was now winter in New York State. I was upstairs and the poem was there suddenly in my head. It came out of nowhere. I ran downstairs to get a pen and paper as I write faster than I type. I wrote it, a bout 5 stanzas all together in about 1 minute it was about spring after winter. Another time I wrote one about my family, my 3 children and us their parents. It took 2 minutes. Another time I woke up with this poem in my head as I opened my eyes. I write small short stores about a particular incident the same way, I get this feeling in my stomach of longing and then out of nowhere it happens. There are a few times I struggle to complete the poems but the idea of its essence remains. I’m no professional poet but I love my poems and so does my husband I had some trauma in my life, orphaned by 11 years old and had a lot of hard times in my life. This may be the source/ I don’t know but I don’t feel that I write my poems and I’ve always told my husband it isn’t me. Bob Dillon is the only person I’ve heard that says the same thing.
⁉️What’s your favorite Coppola film right now?
😊 ✨
Beautifully expressed. Lynch sometimes struggled for words adequate to convey his ideas and experiences; being an intensively visual person. Not here. I completely relate to being deeply effected by the atmosphere of a place. Good or bad energies leave an imprint.
He’s inspired me to take the time to express myself. Sadly, the world doesn’t or cannot sit still and wait for people like us to speak, to contemplate, to address or confront.
He was so attractive, no more!
Two different things suffering and depression.
A lot of people lived in Philadelphia, but there was only one David Lynch
Remarkable achievement what Matt and Ben done with Good Will Hunting i remember watching them win the oscar for best original screenplay and there reaction first class i am a movie fan and a fan of both tho the bourne identity i had seen the original with richard chamberlain anyway that film was just brilliant the action had never been as good in any film before they both have such amount of great movies between them and shout out to ben for Gone girl and Argo but Good Will Hunting remains one of my fave films ever to this day
JOHN LOOKS SO TIRED. HE FILMED SNF AN GREASE ALMOST AT THE SAME TIME. LUV THIS. GREAT DANCER
I disagree. Suffering is often a catalyst for creativity but it doesn’t mean you have to stay that way forever.
Rest in peace.
That was his own voice talking to him at those times. The more people come into your life, you hear them in your head as a critic, causing the words to not flow so easily. That's my take.
He was being honest in his song - 'Things have changed.'
Intrusive Thoughts - are unwanted, persistent, and often distressing thoughts that repeatedly enter a person's mind without their consent.
One if the only three horror films to truly terrify me the first time i saw it. The other two being 'The Exorcist' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.
100% Guitar is my life but when depression is being a bitch, I have to force myself to play, and then I just play the same shit and learn, produce nothing new
Loved this 45 minute speech.
I started going to Brooklyn discos in 1976.. met my first boyfriend in one of the clubs. We used to go to the 2001 Odyssey Disco Club .. many famous singers and groups used to perform there. Then once they started filming Saturday Night Fever at the Odyssey, we went to other discos in Bayridge. It was the best time to 💃 🕺 dance!
